Frequently asked questions
How do I enter a game?
Tap + to start a session, then tap or swipe the pins that are still standing after each ball. Nothing standing? Tap Strike or Spare. You can also enter pin counts, or only the final score.
I entered a frame wrong. How do I fix it?
Tap the frame on the score sheet and enter that frame again. The rest of the game stays exactly as it was.
How do my games get to a new iPhone or my iPad?
Pinfall syncs through your own iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple Account on both devices and make sure iCloud is turned on for Pinfall in Settings. Your games appear by themselves, usually within a minute. If you created a second profile before your data arrived, merge the two in More, Bowlers.
How do I make or restore a backup?
More, Backup and restore. Export saves one file with all your data. Restoring adds what is missing and keeps the newest version of everything else; it never deletes anything.
What does Pinfall Pro add, and is it a subscription?
Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription, and it is shared with your Family Sharing group. It adds several bowler profiles, every statistic, the average trend and league handicap. Entering games, your average and highs, strike and spare percentage, iCloud sync and backups are always free.
I bought Pro. Why is it still locked?
Open More, Unlock Pinfall Pro, Restore purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. For a refund, use Apple's page reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does Pinfall support no-tap, fouls and handicap?
Yes. Set 9-pin or 8-pin no-tap per league, enter fouls as they happen, and configure your league's handicap formula (percentage, basis, maximum and book average). Games keep the rules they were bowled under.
How do I delete my data?
Delete sessions or bowlers in the app. To remove everything: delete the app, then open Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, Pinfall, and delete its data.
